World No 8, Tsonga believes that he is a strong competitor for the Grand Slam title. Not only he is the fittest in the squad but he also has the ability to lessen up that helps the other competitors to dictate terms during a game have resulted to his demise.

Tsonga recently said in an interview that now they are in a state of tennis where the field is enormously deep in terms of winning against someone who is in the top four in any tournament and it becomes a challenge for both the players.

Next year Tsonga will team up with Mathilde Johansson to represent France for the Hopman Cup, which will be held in Perth. Known as one of the finest tennis players, Roger Federer has been entertaining his fans during his trip to South American Tour where he will play his fourth exhibition match in Columbia on Saturday. Federer will have to face catchy opponent in the forthcoming round robin match where he has already squeezed triumph against Juan Martin Del Potro in his ending match of straight sets.

Both the players are playing against each other for the 13^th time in their overall tennis career. Federer is leading with 8-4 win loss against the Frenchman. The pair met for the last time in 2012 at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open semi finals. In that match, Tsonga withdrew himself because of injury.

Federer was looking confident to win the Saturday match and everyone is expecting the same. The exhibition match is held with the purpose of entertaining viewers and people present over there. It will be a great match because two tennis superstars will be playing against each other. The organizers of the event are highly expecting that that match on Saturday will surely entertain the viewers.

On the other hand, with a new coach in town Tsonga is aiming to win the Grand Slam 2013. In an interview with a sports reporter, the player said that he is looking forward to win the Grand Slam. A few weeks ago, Tsonga recruited Roger Rasheed as his new coach. Rasheed has earlier coached players like Gael Monfils and Lleyton Hewitt. Tsonga also spoke about his beneficent efforts by saying that he wants to make a better world for whom it is difficult than that of the others. He says that I could even bring a smile on their face, it will matter for me.

Tsonga, seeded at No 6 in the tournament, was expected to reach the title match of the Paris Masters Event. Last year, Tsonga was deprived of this glory by Roger Federer. Federer decisively surpassed him in straight sets. It was expected that Tsonga will revive his glory back in front of his home crowd but that did not happen. The only top ranked player, who was left in the event, was Ferrer as the Frenchman was not capable of going past him in the quarter final.

This was the third match between the two high class contestants and Ferrer was able to have a 2-1 lead on Wilfried after his recent victory. It was some two years back when the Spaniard got his first win over the Frenchman in the Rome Masters. Tsonga took revenge of his loss from Ferrer during last year’s Wimbledon Championship but badly fell to world No 5 on his home match last week.

Ferrer registered 6-2, 7-5 score against Wilfried Tsonga to reach the semi-finals and finally won the title. It is true that Tsonga did not deliver his finest performance in the semi finals, failing to mark a single break point in the entire match.

Murray will be meeting Federer in Sunday’s semi-final match until and unless Juan del Potro appears to the Swiss Group B on Saturday.  Murray’s brilliant performance against Tsonga was exceptional. After winning the match, Murray said that it was a tough match for him as he was playing against a brilliant performer like Tsonga.

Tsonga, no doubt is a brilliant performer but he lost the match because of his own mistakes. The French professional was spotted in a bad mood after the match ended. Tsonga’s tennis career started in 2003 when he grabbed the US Open Juniors title by defeating Marcos Baghdatis.

Tsonga reached the third round of Paris Masters with a score of 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 beating Julien Benneteau. This helped him snatch the seventh spot among the eight chosen players for Tour Finals invitational, scheduled to be held on next week in London.

The 2008 champion was pushed into the final set-tiebreaker after he failed to serve the match. Julien was able to convert only three of the total 11 break point chances against Tsonga, who stroke 15 aces in total – which refers 5 in each set.

Tsonga said that in the third set he was completely in a different state of mind and he was having some intuitions that worked out very well for him. He also added that those intuitions worked out well for him but playing against Julien was not that easy as he had to serve pretty hard in order to win the match.

The tournament is scheduled to begin from 29^th December and will continue till Januray 5, 2013. Tsonga in an interview with a private channel said that he is very happy as he is arriving Austrlia early, he will get enough chance to play three matches before the real match begins.

In the Hopman Cup, Tsonga is heard of teaming with Mathilde Johansson. Fernando Verdasco will be teaming with Anabel Medina and will represent Spain.

Undoubtedly, the tournament will display some of the talented players of this era. People will also get a chance of their favorite Venus Williams teaming up with John Ishner to stand for the United States.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga bowed out against Rafael Nadal in straight sets. It was a closely fought contest with the crowd strongly behind the French Number 1, but Tsonga was not in the best form and crumbled slightly at the end of each of the sets and it was enough for Nadal to gain the win which takes him into the Semi Finals of Paris to play Novak Djokovic (SRB) [3]

But this may not be the season end for Tsonga who will be an alternate at the end of year championships in London.
