French star Jo Wilfried Tsonga desperately desires to win the Grand Slam title in 2013 and that is the reason why he is very busy nowadays. He heads into the New Year believing that the Grand Slam title is quite close. His mission to win the grand slam title gained strength after his first up win against Fernando Verdasco at the Hopman Cup.
World No 8, Tsonga believes that he is a strong competitor for the Grand Slam title. Not only he is the fittest in the squad but he also has the ability to lessen up that helps the other competitors to dictate terms during a game have resulted to his demise.
Tsonga recently said in an interview that now they are in a state of tennis where the field is enormously deep in terms of winning against someone who is in the top four in any tournament and it becomes a challenge for both the players.
While talking about the Grand Slam, Tsonga said that winning a grand slam is not impossible but what he actually wants is to be on the top of the game. He also said that now his chances of defeating any of these great players are high and he has proved it by his performance.
Next year Tsonga will team up with Mathilde Johansson to represent France for the Hopman Cup, which will be held in Perth. The Hopman Cup will allow the French star great opportunity to warm up his body before the final commencement of the first Grand Slam event. referring to the Hopman Cup, Tsonga said that that the Hopman cup was a great compromise between competition and training and as his coach was in Australia that time, it made more sense to play the match.
Tsonga?s path is blocked by three best players of all time ? Roger Federer, Noval Djokovic and Rafel Nadal and Andy Murray. It will be a great tournament to watch as all the best players will play for the same title.
