Jo-Wilfried Tsonga defeated Feliciano Lopez, the Spanish challenger, in straight sets in the 2012 London Olympics, a major sports event that is held in every 4 years. Tsonga was able to garner a 7 – 6 (5), 6 – 4 triumph against Lopez, currently world number 29 and made himself a place in the quarter-final match on Wednesday, much to the joy of those placing bets on his victory.
Having the rank 6 in South African Airways Association of Tennis Professionals World Tour Rankings, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga began his run in the XXX Olympiads with a lot of conviction. He was able to smoothly hold on to his entire serves, yet could not capitalize on the break opportunities. The Frenchman however dominated during the tie-breaker, thereby winning the opening set by 7 – 6 (5).
Tsonga then carried his fluent rhythm in the next set and was able to easily swipe his entire serves. Eventually he got his breakthrough against left-handed Lopez in the 7th game and claimed the set by winning 6 – 4.
The 27-year old French player outshined Lopez completely by hammering 13 aces and managed to clobber a higher share of first serve (67%) than his opponent (66%). Tsonga was also able to strike 31 winners and thereby prevailed throughout the entire match.
A good way to participate in Tsonga’s victories is sports betting on gaming sites like http://www.onlinecasinoaustralia.com.au – having some money on the game really adds to the excitement for those watching on their home sofas. Tsonga has every possibility of being the best of the bunch, so maybe his victory could also be yours?

Rafael Nadal (SPN) defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (FRA) 7-5 7-5
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga bowed out against Rafael Nadal in straight sets. It was a closely fought contest with the crowd strongly behind the French Number 1, but Tsonga was not in the best form and crumbled slightly at the end of each of the sets and it was enough for Nadal to gain the win which takes him into the Semi Finals of Paris to play Novak Djokovic (SRB)
But this may not be the season end for Tsonga who will be an alternate at the end of year championships in London.

After the wrist injury he suffered against Mikhail Youzhny last week Tsonga will defend his Paris Master’s 1000 Title. He recieves a Bye in the first round as he is seeded 8th. He will play either Victor Hanescu (ROU) or Albert Montanes (SPN) in his 2nd Round match. And has quite a promising section of the draw, pending of course the wrist injury he suffered last week.
